On October 29th 2017, Zhongguancun Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (ZVCA) visited the Weizmann Institute of Science, this is the first stop of 2017 ZVCA the second session Chinese investors visited Israel.The Weizmann Institute of Science is one of the world's leading multidisciplinary basic research institutions in the natural and exact sciences. It is located in Rehovot, Israel, just south of Tel Aviv.
Yeda Research and Development Company Ltd. is the commercial arm of the Weizmann Institute of Science. Yeda holds an exclusive agreement with the Weizmann Institute to commercialize the unique intellectual property developed by the scientists. The income generated serves to support further basic research and science education.
Both governments actively support the exchange and transformation of the technological achievements. During the visit, Jason Wang, President of ZVCA invited Mr. Yossi Dashti, Chief Scientist of Yeda, to attend the Sixth innovation and Capital Forum from the International Perspective which will be held on January 18-19th 2018 in Beijing, and he happily accepted the invitation, and also would like to participate in the discussion of International Innovation Round Table.
