On October 15th, 2013, the Ottawa projects roadshow was held at Zhongguancun Software Park at Beijing. This event was organised by Invest Ottawa and ZVCA and provided more than 10 projects from life science, optoelectronics, digital media, aerospace, wireless communication system, etc., which attracted more than 100 investors’ coming.
The mayor Jim Watson introduced Invest Ottawa in his speech that it is a non-profit organisation which delivers collaborative economic development programs and initiatives in the areas of entrepreneurial mentorship, startup development, business incubation services, commercialization, targeted sector development, investment attraction, business retention, expansion and global trade development.
The president of ZVCA: Mr. Wang welcomed the mayor Jim Watson and also gave the introduction of our organisation.
The director of Zhongguancun Management Committee, Mr. Liao and the vice mayor of Haidian District, Mr. Meng also attended this event and gave warmly welcome to Mr. Watson. They introduced the innovation development in Zhongguancun and emphasised the importance of talent.
